Chapter 443 Anything Else
After a short drive, the two arrived at the second floor of the Regal Club.
Bradley had stayed in the private room for four grueling hours, constantly checking his watch and fidgeting. Finally, he saw Hugh striding down the hallway.
Jumping up, he rushed out of the room, his face a mess of bruises. "Mr. Cavill, Mr. Martin," he smiled, his voice a bit strained.
Mason took one look at Bradley's swollen face and quipped, "Hey, Mr. Field, I've got a mask in my car. Want me to fetch it for you?"
Bradley waved his hand dismissively, a sheepish look on his face. "Had a little tiff with my wife before I left home. Sorry you had to see this, Mr. Martin."
"Meet at the entrance in an hour," Mason told Hugh before sauntering off.
Bradley ushered Hugh into the room and scurried to pour him a glass of fine wine. "Sorry to have dragged you here, Mr. Cavill. I know your time is precious."
Hugh glanced at Bradley's battered face and said, "My sister's young. She didn't mean to mess up your plans, Mr. Field. Just let it go."

An hour later, Hugh emerged from the Regal Club and slid into the luxurious car parked by the curb.
Mason tossed him a cigarette. "Damn, for your first love, you're really going soft, huh?"
Jacob, who had taken the front-passenger seat, nervously wiped the sweat from his brow.
Hugh had pulled a clever move. On the surface, he let Megan off the hook by accepting the new project of the Field Group in Mexico.
But behind the scenes, he had already dropped a bombshell on Sarah and her family.
With Sarah and her family on the case, Megan and Maria were in for a rough ride.
By saying that, Mason did it on purpose just to get under Hugh's skin.
Though he seemed carefree, he had eyes and ears everywhere in New York.
He looked at Hugh seriously and said, "You can pull your tricks on others, but if you ever try to screw me over, I'll make sure Gwen won't even acknowledge you."
Hugh shot Mason a look that said, "You're an idiot."
Megan was like a cancer in Bethan's life and a stain on Hugh that he was desperate to wash away.
Before Bethan's return, he was hell-bent on bringing down the Field Group, the last stronghold of the Ridley family, and kicking them out of New York so they wouldn't sully Bethan's presence.
As the year drew to a close, with only a week left until the next year, Hugh got the news that Bethan was coming back.
