The Mocked Miss’s Hidden Crowns novel Chapter 1502

Ten years. That was how long she’d had that answer tucked away in her heart.

“Emily, I already gave you a chance. If you change your mind later, I won’t let you go.”

As soon as Kenneth heard her response, every bit of tension left his body. He pulled her close, his voice soft and tempting. “Forget everyone else. I’ll treat you right.”

“I won’t regret it.”

Emily gazed up at him, her eyes hazy. After a heartbeat or two, she leaned in and kissed him, this time without any hesitation.

There had never been anyone else. From the very beginning, her heart had only known him. He was the only man she’d ever truly loved.

Ten minutes later, almost everyone from the crew had already left the plane. Emily and Kenneth finally stepped out together.

Kenneth’s bottom lip was split, the faintest smear of blood on his mouth, and there was a mysterious red mark on his cheek. Standing next to him, Emily had hair that was a little tangled, lips a shade too rosy and swollen, and lipstick smudged just enough to give everything away.

There was a small, telling silence.

“Tsk.”

“Tsk.”

Pam and Knox exchanged a glance, both making the same noise at almost the same second. Youth… it was honestly enviable.

“Emily, the company has arranged for fans to greet you at the arrival gate.”

As the pair drew closer, Pam handed Emily a jacket, her eyes flicking silently to Emily’s lips as she tried to sound casual. “You’ll probably want to fix your makeup first.”

There was no way she could let Emily be seen by the crowd like this.

“Yeah, good idea.”

Emily ducked her head right away, feeling her cheeks heat up with embarrassment. She glanced at Kenneth and murmured, “Can you wait outside for a minute?”

“Is that really necessary?”

Kenneth frowned, refusing to let go of her hand. He looked at Pam, eyebrows drawn together. “Does it have to be now?”

He’d only just won her heart, and he wished he could shout it out to the world, but this wasn’t the right moment. Dropping news of their relationship so suddenly would only cause her trouble.
