The Genius Ex-Wife’s Revenge Portfolio novel Chapter 907

Victoria grinned, her eyes sparkling. “See, I just knew you loved me the most, Lilly.”

Lilly reached for her bowl. “Come on, Mr. Farill, let’s eat.”

Breakfast was quiet and awkward, filled with little silences that felt heavy. When they finished, Lilly stood and started to clear the table. “Mr. Farill, let me handle the dishes.”

She might not be much help in the kitchen, but she could at least wash up. If she was going to stay here, she wasn’t going to be useless.

Lilly reached for the plates, but Jason caught her wrist, his hand warm and firm. “Leave it to me.”

The touch made her tense up. She could feel the faint roughness of his palm against her soft skin, holding her there, gentle but unyielding.

Lilly didn’t give up. “Mr. Farill, how about this— you cook, I clean. Let me help out a little.”

He studied her for a moment. “Do you even know how to wash dishes?”

She wasn’t exactly the domestic type, all pampered and spoiled since she was little. “No, but I can learn.”

He let out a small, crooked smile. “Why bother learning? If you don’t know how, just don’t do it.”

Lilly’s lashes fluttered, frustration changing to something softer.

Jason brought her hand back to him for a second, then let go. “You don’t need to worry about that. Just keep Victoria company.”

Lilly barely whispered, “Alright.”

Jason turned away and started gathering up the plates, taking them to the kitchen.

Lilly watched him go. He looked picture perfect in a crisp white shirt and black pants, the typical CEO look that somehow worked even better on him. His sleeves were rolled up now, showing off those strong forearms, eyes focused on the sink. He looked so effortlessly handsome, so steady, she found herself unable to look anywhere else.
