The Genius Ex-Wife’s Revenge Portfolio novel Chapter 915

Victoria really was losing sleep over these two. She took their situation seriously and gave them some honest, heartfelt advice.

Before she could say more, Lilly dropped her chopsticks and reached over to cover Victoria’s mouth. “Victoria, please, I’m begging you. Enough.”

Jason watched the whole scene unfold. Lilly’s cheeks turned bright red while Victoria just grinned, totally amused. He found himself smiling too, not even trying to hide it.

Lilly and Victoria were sharing a room that night, and Jason had the guest room. By morning, he was off to the office as usual.

He was in the office when Kent came in, placing a folder on the desk next to him. “Here’s your schedule for this afternoon,” Kent said.

Jason kept skimming and signing papers, not even looking up. “Clear anything after six tonight.”

Kent paused. “Is that because of your date tonight?”

Jason nodded. “Did you book the restaurant?”

“All set,” Kent replied.

He hesitated a moment, then asked quietly, “You’re taking Lilly out for a candlelight dinner, aren’t you?”

Jason raised an eyebrow. “Who else would it be?”

Kent knew there wasn’t anyone else. Everyone could see how Jason felt about Lilly. He treated her like the rarest of treasures, holding her with a gentleness that bordered on reverence, as if any pressure might break her. It was the kind of love that made everyone around want to shake their heads and smile.

That afternoon, Jason finished his work early. Around five, he stood up and went to check his reflection in the mirror. He fussed with his hair, smoothing it down, straightening his tie.

Just then, Frank strolled in. He looked Jason up and down and said, “You’re more than handsome enough, you know.”
