The Genius Ex-Wife’s Revenge Portfolio novel Chapter 914

Lilly’s thoughts were all over the place. Jason had turned so suddenly, acting warm and intense with her in a way she hadn’t seen in a long time. Why was he doing this, after everything that happened between them? They’d already broken up. What did he want?

She tried to keep her voice steady. “You should just go find someone else…”

Before she could even finish, Jason tightened his grip on her jaw, his eyes dark and sharp, filled with something she couldn’t quite name. “Find who?” he demanded. “Who exactly do you want me to be with?”

Honestly, anyone would do. If he wanted Hanna, or Pattie, it was none of her business.

But Jason’s fingers dug in even harder. “Say it.”

Lilly froze. She was scared to answer. He had a look in his eyes, like he might just eat her alive.

Jason didn’t break his gaze. “Since we broke up, I haven’t been with anyone else.”

Her heart skipped a beat. What did he mean by that?

He spelled it out. “I haven’t been with another woman.”

Lilly looked at him, stunned. So he hadn’t done anything with Hanna, after all.

Jason’s thumb slipped from her chin, pressing firmly along her lips, moving back and forth until her lips lost all color, then bloomed red again. Watching her, his breath came out strained.

His voice was scratchy and low. “Are you coming over tonight?”

Everything was so confusing. Lilly hesitated for a few seconds before shaking her head. “No.”

Jason’s expression darkened, and he leaned in, biting down on the corner of her mouth.

Lilly gasped at the sting.

He finally let go, but his voice stayed rough, almost threatening. “Lilly, you better not mess with me again. I swear, I won't make it easy for you. Don’t think I’m some pushover.”

Lilly had no idea what he meant. When had she ever played with his feelings?

Then Victoria’s voice broke in, coming closer. “Lilly, Jason, where did you guys go?”
