The Genius Ex-Wife’s Revenge Portfolio novel Chapter 602

Lilly looked at Jace, concern written all over her face. “Jace, what’s wrong?”

She reached out and touched his chest. “You’re so hot, like you’re burning up.”

There was a strange, fiery glint in Jace’s eyes, but he was obviously trying to hold himself back. He knew he shouldn’t have come to see Lilly tonight. He knew it would be trouble, but he just couldn’t help himself.

“I was drugged,” he said, his voice low and rough.

Lilly’s eyes went wide. “What? Drugged again?”

She couldn’t help but use the word “again.” This wasn’t the first time something like this had happened.

“Who did it? Was it Lilian’s dad?” she guessed.

Jace gave a small nod.

Lilly frowned, putting the pieces together. “Why would he do that? Wait… He’s not trying to make you sleep with Lilian, is he?”

Jace didn’t answer, but the look in his eyes said it all.

Lilly let out a half-laugh, half-sigh, unsure whether to be annoyed or just amused. “Jace, seriously, look at the mess you’re always in. You’ve got rich ladies and heiresses all after you. They’ll do anything just to have you. Even drug you.”

Before she could go on, Jace leaned in and pressed his lips to hers, silencing her in an instant.

A rush of sweetness filled Lilly’s heart. She wrapped her arms around his neck, kissing him back without a second thought.

Now that he finally had the girl he wanted in his arms, Jace felt every nerve in his body come alive. He was burning from the inside out. She smelled amazing, fresh from her shower, and he buried his face in her neck, breathing her in.

Lilly’s eyes were soft and bright. “Jace, what are we going to do?”

Jace swallowed, his voice a little husky. “I need a cold shower.”

She nodded. “Come on, you can use mine.”

Lilly led him upstairs to her room.

Her bedroom looked just like a princess’s, with soft pink everywhere and that sweet, girly scent in the air.
