The Genius Ex-Wife’s Revenge Portfolio novel Chapter 582

Lilly stood there, frozen. She had never seen Jace like this before.

Lucas let out a low laugh. “See, Lilly? Is this still the Jace you thought you knew? Look at him now, deep in the casino scene, hanging with the wrong crowd. He’s not your kind of person. He’s not good enough for you.”

Lilly turned to look at Lucas, and suddenly it all clicked. Lucas must have known Jace would be here. That was the real reason he dragged her along.

“Lucas, whatever Jace is doing, it’s none of your business. You don’t get to judge him. You don’t have that right.”

Lucas scoffed. “Even after everything, you’re still taking his side? Did he cast a spell on you or something?”

“Why do you care? I don’t want to stay here. I’m going home.” Lilly spun around, ready to walk away.

Lucas stepped in front of her, blocking her path. “Jace is right over there. Don’t you want to say hi?”

“There’s no reason to. Move!”

Lilly couldn’t understand why Jace was even here, but deep down, she knew he wouldn’t want her to see him like this. She decided to just leave quietly.

But Lucas had other plans. He grabbed her arm. “Come on, Lilly. Let’s go say hello.”

“Lucas, let go of me! Don’t touch me!” She tried to pull free, but Lucas was too strong.

Right then, she felt someone staring at her. She looked up, and her eyes met Jace’s. His gaze was sharp and cold.

He had seen them.

Their eyes locked, and Lilly felt her whole body tense up.

Lucas noticed Jace too. He grinned, then casually threw an arm around Lilly’s shoulders, pulling her close. “Jace, long time no see.”

Lilly immediately shoved Lucas away, anger bubbling up inside her. She honestly wanted to slap him.

Jace walked over with a few men in black. One of them recognized Lucas. “Hey, Lucas. What brings you here tonight?”
