Chapter 467 Nina’s Schedule
After Samuel disappeared, Benjamin tried to step up. He tried to look after his younger siblings the way Samuel had.
But his patience wasn’t as deep as Samuel’s. He couldn’t stand it as much.
He was always gentle with Chloe. But with Daniel? Benjamin really did hit him.
And it wasn’t out of anger. Daniel just always managed to say or do the exact wrong thing, pushing Benjamin’s buttons.
Benjamin was explaining this, making excuses for Daniel. Seeing this, Lester’s lips curved into a smile.
“Our Ben has learned how to be a big brother,” he said, teasing Benjamin.
Benjamin tried to keep a straight face, but it only lasted a few seconds before he scowled again.
The two of them-one scowling, the other trying to smooth things over-felt like a flashback to the old days.
Meanwhile, the atmosphere was entirely different at Harry’s house. Amelia was at her wit’s end.
“You still want to go out?” she asked, her voice strained.
She had already brought Nína to Harry’s place, and her nerves were shot.
And now all the kids were clamoring to leave!
This was a pre-arranged plan, and Nina was right in the thick of it, nodding enthusiastically along with the others.
None of the other parents seemed too concerned about the kids going out to play. Only Amelia was freaking out.
“Sweetie, we’re not going out to play, okay?” she tried, crouching down to Nina’s level. “How about I take you out by myself?
“We can go to the mall. I’ll buy you snacks. We’ll get toys.
“Do you want to go on the kiddie rides? I’ll take you.”
The other parents probably didn’t understand Amelia’s panic. But she knew the truth all too well.
Nina’s adventures always went sideways. It was practically a law of naturel Amelia’s heart couldn’t take
much more.
Amelia begged and pleaded with Nina. But Nina wouldn’t listen.
“Mommy, play with Hawee,” Nina insisted.
She was a social butterfly. She didn’t want to go out with just Amelia; she wanted to go with her friends.

Finished
Seeing she was losing the battle, Amelia pulled out her last card.
“Sweetie, don’t you miss Lester? Let’s go to the hospital and see him,” she suggested brightly. “Lester misses you.”
Amelia tried using Lester as bait. But right now, Nina only had one thing on her mind: going out to play.
Without a second’s hesitation, she laid out her own schedule.
“Mommy, me play,” she declared. “Night, see Un-coo Sam.”
What Nina meant was that she wanted to play first, and she’d go see Lester once it got dark.
Amelia was speechless. You’ve got your whole day planned out, huh.
Despite her internal grumbling, Amelia kept trying to stop her. She didn’t get far. Nina quickly ran out of patience.
She grabbed Harry’s hand and headed for the door.
The other kids swarmed around Nina, chattering nonstop. Amelia felt a headache coming on.
In the end, Amelia gave in. They were out in public, and she was too embarrassed to let Nina throw a full- blown tantrum on the floor.
Her moment of weakness was Nina’s victory. The little girl was thrilled to be going out.
The other parents didn’t come along, but Amelia did.
The kids didn’t have their individual parents with them, but they did have their bodyguards and nannies.
Amelia knew the bodyguards and nannies were professionals. She also knew Nina’s talent for finding trouble was equally professional.
Harry gave the destination. The kids piled into the car, buzzing with excitement.
Amelia wasn’t familiar with the area and had no idea where they were headed.”
Maybe it was because there were so many other kids in the car. Nina, who could never sit still during a ride, didn’t ask for the TV this time. Nor did she fall asleep. She chattered with the other kids the whole
way.
When they arrived, the destination wasn’t Harry’s ultimate goal. Harry wanted to explore the abandoned amusement park.
But he hadn’t said that. If he had, the adults would have stopped him.
So, he’d named a children’s exhibition hall next to the park.
They pulled up at the exhibition hall entrance. As if by prior agreement, not a single child headed inside.
Instead, they all took off on their short little legs, running straight for the amusement park.
