Chapter 474 A Real Little Charmer
Daniel carried Nina back, ordered some fresh, hot food, and fed her spoonful by spoonful until she was full.
The whole meal took two hours. One hour and fifty minutes of that was spent catering to Nina; Daniel took less than ten minutes to cat his own portion.
After the meal, Daniel took Nina to play in the mall. Erik tagged along.
The two of them kept a good eye on the single child, and nothing went wrong.
While looking after her, they were careful not to swear or fight in front of her. Nina was easily distracted.
By evening, on the drive home, Nina sat in the car clutching a toy. She looked perfectly well-behaved, her head bowed as she played with it.
While Nina was still playing, Benjamin and Amelia had already picked their flights.
Benjamin booked tickets for the day after tomorrow. The moment the tickets were booked, Catherine was the first to voice her objection.
“You two can leave, but Nina is staying,” Catherine declared, utterly unwilling to let Nina go.
She had always cherished her solitude, and her estate wasn’t a place for casual guests. She disliked anything that disturbed her peace.
But now, Nina ran and played in the estate every day. Her energetic little figure filled every corner, and her gleeful giggles echoed through the halls.
Catherine didn’t find it noisy. She thought it was wonderful. She loved it. She loved seeing Nina so full of life.
Now, they wanted to take Nina away? Catherine would not allow it.
When Benjamin mentioned school, Catherine dismissed that too, saying Nina could attend school here.
She would cover Nina’s tuition. She would provide Nina with the best education. She would give Nina anything she wanted.
Catherine was busy fighting for Nina.
Meanwhile, Daniel stayed on the floor with Nina, playing with her toy train set. He placed a small train on the track and lowered his voice to chat with her.
“Sweetheart, your Grandma Catherine doesn’t want you to go,” he said. “She never liked us Grahams, but she adores you.”
Nina was focused on her train. She heard Daniel but didn’t quite catch it.
She just replied, “Nina wuv Grandma Catherine.”

Chapter 474 A Real Little Charmer
Finished
Daniel listened to her effortless declaration of love, then glanced at Catherine in the distance. Her face was stony as she argued.
He truly thought Nina was incredible. She was a real little charmer. Everyone who met her was captivated!
“What about me? Do you love me?” Daniel asked, abandoning the train. He leaned his handsome face close to Nina’s, starting to bother her.
Nina was busy arranging the trains. She wanted to line them up on the track and push them along.
Daniel’s face got in the way, blocking her view. She started with a verbal protest.
“Go ‘way.”
Daniel had zero self-awareness. He kept asking. “Tell me, do you love me? How much do you love me?”
He kept at it. Nina, blocked and frustrated, grew impatient.
“Stop!” she said several times, but it was useless.
Seeing Daniel still in her way, Nina raised her little hand and smacked him.
She’d barely touched him when Amelia saw. “Nina! You can’t hit Daniel! I will spank you!”
Nina pouted, ready to cry after being scolded by her mom. She felt so wronged!
Luckily, Daniel knew he’d provoked her. “Amelia, don’t scold her. I was the one bothering her,” he said quickly.
Seeing Daniel defend Nina, Amelia felt helpless..
After explaining to Amelia, Daniel turned to comfort the upset Nina.
“Don’t cry, sweetheart. I’ll play trains with you. Want to buy another train set?” he offered, joining Nina in her game.
Nina, clutching a train, sniffled but didn’t cry. She arranged the trains and made a new demand.
“Buy truck?”
“Sure!” Daniel agreed, then thought for a second. “But what happened to your truck? You had one.”
Nina’s toy car collection was complete. She had every kind.
“Truck gone,” Nina stated. “Nina no find.”
Hearing the truck was gone, Daniel comforted her right away. “I’ll buy you a new one. What color do you
want?”
“Red!” Nina replied.
Seeing that Daniel would buy her a truck, she lost interest in the trains. She scrambled up from the floor and leaned into Daniel’s arms.
