Miracle Cutie (Amelia and Benjamin) novel Chapter 472

Chapter 472 Brother’s Love

Just as Amelia had predicted, Nina immediately started tattling to Lester.

“Mommy hit. Hit a lot. Nina cry.”

When she mentioned crying, she reached up to touch her eyes.

Amelia had spanked her pretty hard this time. Even after her nap. Nina hadn’t forgotten. She remembered Amelia hitting her.

Lester listened to her tattling and reached out to pat her chubby check. “Why did she do that?” he asked.

Nina thought for a second. “Mommy bad.”

Benjamin’s expression darkened. “Hmm?” He cleared his throat, a clear warning.

Hearing Benjamin cough, Nina turned to look at him. She looked at his face, then touched her own chest, quickly correcting herself.

“Nina bad. Nina no good.”

Lester watched her own up to what she’d done, raising an eyebrow. Once again, his judgment was confirmed.

“At least Nina can admit when she’s wrong. Her personality is definitely better than yours.”

Benjamin frowned at that, ready to argue, but he glanced at Lester lying in the hospital bed and swallowed

his words.

He didn’t speak, but his displeasure was written all over his face.

Seeing his scowl, Lester chuckled, “Your personality is much better now, though. Better than when you were a kid.”

As Lester spoke, he reached out to hug Nina. Benjamin stopped him.

“Don’t. You’ll pull your stitches,” he warned. Benjamin knew exactly how much Nina weighed.

Lester was recovering, and holding her wasn’t a good idea.

Nina had already opened her little arms, ready for Lester’s hug. But Lester didn’t pick her up.

Nina blinked, but she wasn’t discouraged. She giggled, leaned in, and gave Lester a hug all by herself.

With Nina there, the hospital room was lively.

Even though she’d had a scare today, being in that little house, eating crackers and drinking milk, had calmed her down.

Even the spanking afterward didn’t dampen her spirits for long, because Amelia had held her afterwards.

Finished

Nina was already back to her energetic self. She knew Amelia was sleeping, so she didn’t call for her. She sat on the hospital bed playing with Lester.

Benjamin, seeing how much energy she had, wanted to take her out. But Lester kept her. He enjoyed watching Nina play, too.

The atmosphere in the room was peaceful.

Meanwhile, Daniel, who had come to find Nina, stood outside the door doing some serious mental preparation. Finally, he came in.

He’d brought Erik with him. Erik had been dragged along.

Secing Lester propped up in bed, with Benjamin beside him. Erik braced himself and greeted them. “Hi, Samuel, Benjamin. I came to see Nina.”

Erik changed how he addressed Lester without even warning Daniel.

Daniel, hearing the switch, was stunned for a second. Then, under Benjamin’s gaze, he gritted his teeth. and followed suit.

“Samuel. Are you… feeling better?”

Lester looked at Daniel. He’d already confirmed from William and Benjamin that this silly brother was indeed his biological sibling. A bit dim, but family.

As the older brother, Lester decided to let go of Daniel’s earlier rude remarks.

“Hmm,” Lester replied. Seeing Daniel’s awkwardness, he pulled a card from the bag on the bedside table.

“Here,” Lester said, tossing the card to Daniel. “A meeting gift.”

Daniel was taken aback. He caught the card instinctively. After Lester told him the password, Daniel stammered. “Uh, thanks?”

Once Lester gave the card to Daniel, Erik nudged Daniel’s arm, already whispering to ask how much was

on it.

Daniel wasn’t a card reader; he had no idea. He elbowed Erik in the chest, signaling him to shut up.

Now feeling indebted thanks to the card, Daniel didn’t stay to annoy Lester. He scooped Nina up.

“I’m taking Nina out to eat,” he announced, and carried her out of the room.

Nina had been stuck in the hospital room ever since she woke up, and she was getting restless. So, as soon as Daniel offered to carry her, she happily held out her arms for him.

Daniel was good with kids, and Benjamin didn’t object at all when he took Nina away.

Soon, Daniel left the hospital. But he didn’t head straight to a restaurant.

Right outside the hospital entrance, he checked the card’s balance. His eyes went wide. Erik, watching beside him, turned green with envy.
