Felix added everyone into a group chat and sent, "I've asked her. She said Mr. West Senior doesn't need her to shadow him every minute. I think you can all relax. Trust the doctor."

Millie immediately fired back, "Relax? How can we not worry? This is about our father's life!"

Wilson chimed in, "Did you mention our terms to her? We promised to get her a top-notch tutor, a big paycheck, and even boost her career!"

Felix replied, "I didn't bring that up. Based on what I know about her, mentioning that would only backfire."

Benson pressed, "Backfire? How so?"

Felix explained, "Listen. If someone comes to you offering a deal with a fat check and future benefits, what would you say? If someone tried that with me, I'd be livid. I'd feel insulted!"

Zara snapped, "Felix, come on. Demi's just a young lady. You can't compare her to us or even to you! We don't need handouts or help. We're doing just fine on our own."

Felix shot back, "Demi doesn't need handouts either. Her skills are legendary—if word got out, fame and fortune would follow in droves. But she's been keeping her talents under wraps, so she's in no hurry to grab them."

Laura fretted, "That still won't work. If not that, then what are we supposed to do?"

Felix repeated, "I'm sticking with what I said—trust the doctor. Besides, her place and the school are just a stone's throw from Dad's."

Benson interjected, "But isn't she supposed to be filming that program somewhere else?"

Felix replied, "Only for a couple of days. If you're really so worried about Dad, he can tag along during the shoot. He's been itching to get out and about anyway."

Wilson exploded, "No way! That's far too risky!"

Benson added, "Absolutely not! Felix, what kind of crazy idea is that?"

Laura scoffed. "Really? Dad's status and age mean that he has to trail after a young doctor? That doesn't add up."

Zara grumbled, "Sure, her skills are top-notch, but she can't strut around like she owns the place! Even Dr. Finnegan isn't that cocky!"
