A Second Life, A New Power novel Chapter 135

"How may I help you?" Margaret stood in place with her hands clenched together as she asked carefully.

"Please have a seat too, Mrs. Moone," Benedict said. Then, she finally sat at the side but still looked reserved.

"Mrs. Moone, you sure have a wonderful granddaughter," said Seamus. Upon hearing that, Margaret looked at him in confusion.

"I fainted once in the mountains, and your granddaughter was the one who saved me," Benedict explained casually.

"Oh!" Margaret finally understood what was going on.

"That granddaughter of mine has always been kind. She learned everything she knew about medical science in just a year before going out to save people bravely. She's not even worried if she gets into trouble! In this day and age, it isn't easy to do good deeds as well…" she said with a sigh.

As Seamus expected, Margaret started talking without holding back after they mentioned Demi. Felix's eyes lit up, and a hunch formed in his mind. "Mrs. Moone, have you ever gotten into trouble as a doctor?"

Seamus' eyes lit up as well after he heard that. There was a high chance that possibility could be true. Margaret might have gotten into trouble in the past, and it caused her great trauma. They figured that was why her passion died and why she wouldn't help others anymore.

"Trouble? Are you talking about how a patient might have problems with their doctor? Oh, no! I'm not a doctor at all, so why would I get into that sort of trouble?" Margaret said while waving her hands. However, the more she denied it, the more they were certain something like that did happen.

After she was done telling her sorry, she suddenly remembered that her granddaughter was a doctor and asked, "Are you talking about my granddaughter instead? She has only started her medical studies for a year and hasn't treated a lot of people yet. So, I don't think she has gotten into any trouble yet.

"However, I'm always worried that she might get into a huge mess. After all, she doesn't have any licenses for practicing medicine yet. I heard that we need something like that before we can start treating anyone. Otherwise, we might be locked up if something goes wrong."

"However, there are still a lot of reasonable people, Mrs. Moone," said Benedict.

"You're right, but after treating dozens of patients every day, we're bound to meet a few unreasonable ones, right? Just one is enough to doom our whole lives," Margaret said with another sigh.

After she said that, Felix and the rest were even more certain that she had been in some trouble before. However, Margaret was just lamenting about the news she had heard.

Audrey heard a lot of news in her life, and by talking to her from time to time, Margaret could learn a lot about what was happening outside. Of course, that included troubles a doctor might have with their patients.
