A Second Life, A New Power novel Chapter 124

After packing up, Nigel and the others headed northward.

First, they headed to the forest and picked a few fruits.

Two hours later, they neared the area where the production team placed the boats. Then, they walked along the sea.

Half an hour later, they noticed the boats.

"I'm so tired. I wonder how Demi ran over in the morning." Sally panted, supporting her legs.

After walking for three hours, all of them were exhausted despite resting for a while and picking fruits.

"I thought there were two boats. Didn't Demi's team park their boats around here?" When Wendy saw a small wooden boat in the sea, she looked at the staff in confusion.

Of course, next to the wooden one, there was a speedboat meant for the staff, but she wasn't looking for that.

"Ms. Demi's boat is at the northern side. We placed the boats according to the guests' walking speed," a staff explained.

"Yesterday, we wanted to meet up with Demi this afternoon. I don't think that's possible now," Wendy said regretfully.

Ana fell silent. Whenever she heard Demi's name, she became frustrated.

However, it seemed as if everyone else kept calling the latter's name.

"Let's check out the boats and get to work soon." While Nigel spoke, he headed to the wooden boat.

Connor and Thomas hurriedly followed him.

The boat was small and shabby. Two pieces of fishing equipment were inside— a fishing net and a fishing pole. Both looked simple and old.

"Was this what was left behind by everyone else?" Nigel asked the staff.

"No, the fishermen used that equipment," they replied seriously.

"I see." Nigel nodded.

Looking at the others, he said, "The three men in our team should catch some fish while the three ladies should pick some seafood at the seaside. What do you think?"

"Mr. Yale, why don't Mr. Pitt and I go out to sea instead? The boat is too small, and only two pieces of fishing equipment are inside," Connor responded.

After looking at the boat, Nigel thought that it made sense—it was too small for three people.

"Please come back quickly and don't row too far out," he said.

"I got it," Connor and Thomas replied with smiles on their faces.

The staff approached them and gave them life jackets.

Since the two men couldn't find any fish nearby, they kept rowing away.
