The next morning, when Zebulon opened his eyes and saw he was in bed with Tiffany again, he nearly fainted.
"What the hell is going on?"
"Are you following me?"
Even someone as slow as Zebulon could see Tiffany was up to no good.
If the last time could be blamed on him being drunk, this time was impossible.
"It was you—"
"Shut up!"
Zebulon furiously threw a pillow at her. "I deleted and blocked your number. You think I'm going to believe your nonsense?"
After their call, he had blocked all of Tiffany's contact information. Even if he drank himself into a stupor, he would never have sought her out. Besides, how could a drunk person possibly find a number in their block list?
She was clearly lying!
Zebulon already despised manipulative people, and seeing Tiffany's audacity right now filled his eyes with a menacing look that terrified her.
"I... Zebulon, I just don't want to be apart from you... I promise I won't interfere with you and Naomi. I just want to watch you from a distance. Whenever you think of me, you can come see me, and I'll help you relax. That's all. Please, just say yes, okay?"
Tiffany wrapped her arms around Zebulon's waist, her soft body coiling around him like a snake. Zebulon was, after all, a man, and it was early in the morning. Her touch stirred something in him.
Tiffany looked up, her expression on the verge of tears, her red lips close to his. "Zebulon, just give in to me this once, please?"
"I really, really like you. Even if it's just one time... just once..."
No man could refuse such a plea.
Zebulon's mind was a mess. He didn't want to get further entangled with Tiffany, but he couldn't help but remember the way Naomi had walked away without a second glance.
She had left so freely, as if she truly didn't care about him anymore.
