Go Back and I Rule There novel Chapter 84

The next day, the sun was shining brightly, but Rosalind was still asleep when the sound of hammering echoed from outside the clinic.

Galeno came in twice and gestured by her bedside, but she didn’t even bother to open her eyes.

It wasn’t until Grandma Megan called her, “Rosalind, it’s Thursday. Why aren’t you at school?”

Rosalind finally got herself ready and ambled out, looking fresh-faced and pretty. “I don’t have class this morning.”

Grandma Megan seemed to see right through her and sighed. “If you’re struggling with your studies, just tell Grandma, it’s alright. I heard from Mrs. Zade that they have tutoring these days. Should we sign you up for one?”

Struggling? Her? Galeno looked up at the mention of it, his eyes sharp and fierce.

Rosalind smiled, gathering her long hair into a high ponytail, which made the beauty mark near her eye more prominent. “It’s fine, Grandma. I can handle it.”

The old woman was still worried, fumbling for her basic phone. “You were last in your class last semester. Your teacher said if your grades don’t improve this semester, they’ll have to call a parent-teacher conference. No, I have to find you a tutor. Mr. Lopez’s grandson is a good student, I’ll call him.”

Grandma was already dialing.

Just then, the wind chime on the door jingled, signaling a customer had entered.

Rosalind glanced toward the sound and saw her patient, whom she hadn’t seen in three days, standing there tall and elegant.

The man’s bespoke suit accentuated his long legs and noble air. His handsome, refined face seemed to register something amusing, and his brow quirked up.

Then, he turned his head and looked at her with a smile, as if to say, you… last in your class?

In front of guests, Mrs. Yates Sr. would naturally protect her grandchild’s pride, especially since this was one of Rosalind’s friends.

“You two chat. I’ll go inside to talk to the Lopez boy in private,” the old woman said, walking away with her phone.

Warner fiddled with his bracelet, his eyelids slightly lowered. “You look like you need more rest than I do.”

Rosalind lounged in the recliner. “I do. I’m exhausted. I kept dreaming someone was chasing me, and I have no idea where they got all that energy.”

That young master of the Turner family, spending his nights at the Task Force—he must never get tired.

Hearing this, David scratched the back of his head. Mr. Turner was chasing someone in real life, while Cure-Master was being chased in her dreams? What a strange coincidence.

Rosalind didn’t make the connection. She listened to the man’s breathing, then reached out to take his pulse, her brow furrowing slightly.

The gesture was so sudden that Warner didn’t pull away. They were extremely close, so close that when he looked down, he could see the beauty mark near her eye and her fluttering eyelashes.

This was an intimacy Warner had never experienced before. But ever since meeting a certain person, it seemed to have become much easier…
