Taking a pulse required silence.
David saw how close Cure-Master was to Mr. Turner, but he didn’t dare say a word.
After all, Mr. Turner had allowed it.
Finally, Rosalind released his wrist, murmuring, “How did the pulse revert back in just three days?”
Warner coughed again, each one raspier than the last. “My condition is like this. You don’t have to blame yourself.”
“Blame myself?” Rosalind laughed, her tone casual. “I’m not as noble as you think. I just want to know the reason. Logically, your pulse shouldn’t have regressed this quickly.”
Suddenly, Warner thought of the discarded sachet, and his beautiful, almond-shaped eyes darkened.
Rosalind looked at David, who was standing nearby. “Tell me everything your master has eaten in the past two days. The more detailed, the better. Include his sleep schedule if you can.”
David immediately launched into a detailed report.
After listening, Rosalind pondered for a moment. “From a dietary perspective, there’s no problem.”
Warner balled a hand into a fist, his voice hoarse. “Right.”
Rosalind looked at him. “When you have time, I’ll come by your place and your office to take a look.”
Warner lifted his gaze at her words, his expression still placid.
But David’s eyes widened. Go to his home? Wouldn’t that expose his identity?
Rosalind noticed and raised an eyebrow. “Is that inconvenient?”
Of course it’s inconven— David was thinking.
Warner spoke, his tone casual. “It’s convenient.”
David whipped his head around to stare at Mr. Turner.
