“Yes, I’ve noted everything you said. You have my word—this stays between you and me. Please, don't let me keep you.” Rachel chirped into the phone before hanging up, eagerly grabbing her bag and heading straight for the Yates Group.
Sean looked astonished when he heard the news. “That low-life relative of hers actually dared to assault a police officer?”
“I know, right? So arrogant.” Rachel found it ridiculously amusing. “They really have no regard for the rules.”
Now she didn't have to worry about a thing. She had already greased the wheels at the station, and that girl might even end up with a prison sentence.
Originally, she just wanted to make Rosalind suffer a little. But now, with the law involved, she could just let her rot in there!
Sean mulled it over for a moment. “Tell Mr. Zade not to overdo it. They’re cracking down on things right now. Just give her a criminal record and get the streaming channel. That’s enough.”
“We’ll see how that little brat behaves,” Rachel said, taking a leisurely sip of her tea, looking perfectly content.
The couple was solely focused on profit, completely unconcerned that their actions would effectively ruin Rosalind’s life.
Six months in jail and a criminal record would make her miss her qualifying exams. Rosalind's life would be over!
Meanwhile, at the police station.
Horace walked in and announced, “Excuse me, officer. Could you please get your chief for me?”
He was polite, his tone carrying an air of authority without being overbearing.
But the interrogator shoved him. “People like you from the countryside want to see our chief? Sit down!”
His attitude was extremely rude as he pointed at Horace. “I’m warning you, don’t cause any trouble!”
Horace was stunned by the push, his face showing disbelief. He slammed his hand on the table with great force. “Is this how you treat the public!”
“What are you shouting about!” The interrogator pointed at the camera. “It’s all being recorded. Go on, try assaulting another officer.”
Horace was ready to curse him out.
