“Your young master?” Boris' eyes went wide with astonishment. “Why would Mr. Turner want to see her?”
His question made the others who hadn't left yet turn their heads.
They couldn't have heard that right, could they?
Mr. Turner? Wants to see the “fake heiress”?
The bodyguard in black was concise. “There is an item belonging to the Yates family that needs to be returned.”
Oh, so they were just returning something.
The crowd exchanged relieved glances.
It made sense. Why would someone like Mr. Turner know a small-town “fake heiress” personally?
Theodore stepped in front of Rosalind. “I’ll go with her.”
He had promised his grandfather he would look out for her, and he intended to see it through.
The bodyguard’s tone was firm. “My apologies, sir, but the young master’s invitation was for Ms. Yates only.”
“My surname isn’t Yates,” Rosalind, who had been silent until now, said as she switched off her phone in her pocket. Her eyes were dark and captivating. “Lead the way.”
So, the young master of the Turner family wanted to see her.
It couldn't be because he’d found out about Galeno.
More likely, she was accidentally caught by a hidden camera in the main hall.
That would be easy enough to explain… Rosalind mused, following the bodyguard.
Theodore called out worriedly, “Don't be scared! The Turner family is reasonable!”
Rosalind just waved a hand over her shoulder, her back conveying her usual nonchalance.
Theodore wondered what he would do if the Turner family wasn't reasonable.
Fight? They wouldn’t stand a chance.
He glanced around. These bodyguards looked like they could take out two of him with a single punch.
Rosalind had also assessed the manor’s security. She never intended to use force; after all, problems were best solved with one’s mind.
The bodyguard hesitated, unsure how to address her.
Rosalind arched a brow. “Rosalind Martinez.”
