Go Back and I Rule There novel Chapter 78

After writing, she picked up the wooden box and strolled out of the room.

Her handwriting was, frankly, terrible. She didn’t care if he could read it or not.

When it came to etiquette, Rosalind’s approach was to maintain a flawless surface.

This Mr. Turner… his way of giving a gift made it seem like he was showing off that he’d figured her out.

Rosalind decided she should probably avoid him in the future. The fountain pen, she noted, was nice. Diamond-studded, even.

These cultured types were just dripping with money.

Warner had no idea his gesture had backfired.

Just as Rosalind left, he returned, his handsome face showing a trace of weariness after staring at monitors all afternoon.

“Young Master,” the bodyguard approached. “Ms. Rosalind Martinez didn’t take anything else. Only the Celestial Nettle.”

Ms. Rosalind Martinez? Warner’s brow twitched. So her name was Rosalind.

Warner walked into the study, removed his bracelet, and his eyes swept over the remaining items on the table. His voice was calm. “She drank the tea?”

The bodyguard stiffened in alarm. “Young Master, we haven’t had time to change these out. I’ll have them disposed of immediately!”

He knew his young master loathed anyone touching his tea set.

Even that Ms. Martinez from Prax had once touched his coaster, and the young master had ordered the entire set to be replaced.

They had learned their lesson and never made that mistake again.

This time, the bodyguard was caught completely off guard. He never imagined someone would have the audacity to use the young master’s teacup and eat his afternoon snack.

He certainly didn't play by the rules.

Warner had already picked up the gilt-edged card. “No need. Leave it. The tea was just brewed; it would be a shame to waste it.”

Warner’s gaze flickered over to him, and he tossed the card in his direction. “See for yourself.”

“‘Prolonged exposure to medicinal incense is not advisable’?” David squinted, struggling to decipher the script. “This handwriting is atrocious.”

Warner raised his cup and took a sip of tea. After he drank, he seemed to remember something, and his fingers paused as he looked at the cup. “She wrote it.”

David knew exactly who “she” was. His voice immediately jumped an octave. “Cure-Master said that? Then we have to trust it! I’ll get rid of it right now!”

The bodyguard stood there, his face blank. Cure-Master? The Cure-Master he had been waiting for all day was… a woman?

After disposing of the incense, David still felt puzzled. “Young Master, for Cure-Master to give such a direct warning… it doesn’t seem like her style.”

“Mm,” Warner agreed, turning the teacup in his fingers. He suddenly poured the water out. Unless the incense wasn’t just unhelpful, but actively harmful.

But his sister had given it to him, and she would never harm him.

Warner looked out the window, his deep, well-like eyes growing darker and more profound…
