Go Back and I Rule There novel Chapter 65

“Grandpa,” Letitia said, moving to his side.

Rows of black-suited bodyguards lined up on either side of the old man.

To complete his disguise, he still had a bandage wrapped around his head. He ripped it off, gave Rosalind a meaningful look, and then turned to face the crowd.

The Turners came from a long line of distinguished public servants, and Mr. Turner Sr. himself carried an air of stern authority. As his gaze swept over them, a heavy pressure settled on the room.

“I heard all of your discussions from inside the examination room.” Mr. Turner Sr. stood as straight as a pine tree, his eyes like a tiger’s. “Veritas Medical’s first-place win is well-deserved.”

With Mr. Turner Sr. himself delivering the verdict, who would dare to object?

Nathan, who had just been demanding an explanation, fell silent.

Grace forced a smile onto her face. “We didn’t know it was you, sir…”

“Aside from these three young friends, none of you figured out it was me,” Mr. Turner Sr. stated flatly, leaning on his cane.

Grace’s face burned with embarrassment.

The others were no better; they wished the ground would swallow them whole.

Who could have imagined the third patient would be Mr. Turner Sr. himself, faking an illness? This was completely outside the scope of medicine!

No! Grace thought frantically. I can’t let her stand out like this!

She was clearly panicking.

It was Yolanda who whispered beside her, reminding her, “Professor, you still have the miracle cure that can heal any illness.”

Grace had almost forgotten her trump card!

“Mr. Turner Sr.!” Grace announced loudly. “I hear Mr. Turner has been suffering from a long illness and has been searching for a particular medicine. I have brought it with me today!”

The medicine the Turner family was searching for? Could it be?

Everyone’s eyes lit up.

Mr. Turner Sr. turned to look at her, signaling a bodyguard to retrieve it.

Grace opened the wooden box she had brought and presented it.

“Celestial Nettle!”

Mr. Turner Sr.'s most beloved grandson didn't have much time left.

Very few people knew this.

Mr. Turner Sr.’s gaze fell upon the wooden box, but his expression remained unchanged. “Dr. Gonzalez, you truly live up to your reputation. State your terms.”

The words sparked envy throughout the room.

Grace savored the admiring gazes, feigning an air of detached nobility. “Mr. Turner Sr., a doctor’s duty is to be benevolent. For Mr. Turner’s illness, the Gonzalez family would like to take charge of his treatment.”

The Gonzalez family as the primary physicians? Mr. Turner Sr. rubbed the dragon head of his cane. His grandson had already designated a physician and had told him explicitly that he would accept treatment from no one but Cure-Master.

But the Gonzalezes had the Celestial Nettle…

As Mr. Turner Sr. pondered, Rosalind suddenly laughed, a chilling smile playing on her lips. “Does the Gonzalez family need me to remind them how they acquired that stalk of Celestial Nettle?”

Grace was thoroughly sick of this girl, who thwarted her at every turn.

Her eyes darted around, and she smiled as she patted Yolanda’s hand. “You see, Yolanda? I told you she would be jealous.”
