“Done.” She picked up her bag.
The patient raised an eyebrow. “That’s it? Doctor, you haven’t asked me about any other symptoms, or if I have any underlying conditions. You didn’t even look at the scans on the table. To jump to a conclusion like this seems rather absurd.”
Rosalind placed the pen back in its holder, a faint smile on her face. “There’s nothing seriously wrong with you. No further questions are necessary.”
But Boris grabbed her arm. “Wait, Rosalind, it’s only been five minutes! Let’s just check him again. Look at the other groups—they spent twenty minutes on the first patient alone!”
“It doesn’t matter.” Rosalind coolly raised her hand and decisively pressed the confirmation buzzer.
Outside, the other physicians were still comparing notes. When they saw Rosalind’s group emerge so quickly, they burst out laughing.
“So little time? Does that mean they couldn’t even diagnose the first patient?”
“Just look at Boris' face. That says it all.”
“I saw Theodore even brought a medical textbook in with him. What good did that do? Hahaha, the three of them couldn’t even last ten minutes!”
Grace and Nathan exchanged a look of mutual satisfaction.
Grace even feigned concern, turning to Wayne. “Mr. Young, I can understand the Lopez family, but how could you be so foolish? You shouldn’t let the younger generation mix with such common folk. They won’t learn anything good.”
Wayne said nothing, lazily closing his eyes again, tuning out the world around him.
Meanwhile, at the head of the room, Letitia set down her teacup and took the slip of paper handed to her by the butler.
“The consultations are complete.” Letitia’s voice was bright and clear. “I have the results right here. Professor Gonzalez.”
Grace stood up, unable to suppress the triumphant smile on her face.
As she walked past Rosalind, she shot her a pointed look.
Rosalind remained seated, her expression calm, not even bothering to glance up. She was busy typing a message on her phone.
Boris was baffled. “Rosalind, how can you be in the mood to play on your phone? It’s over! We’re definitely going to be last!”
Rosalind quickly locked her screen, a playful tone in her voice. “You think so?”
Boris said urgently, “Didn’t you see? The Gonzalezes were just called up!”
