Go Back and I Rule There novel Chapter 62

“This way, if you please!”

With a wave of Letitia’s hand, a hidden door slid open in the manor.

A series of examination rooms was revealed before them.

The physicians were required to treat the patients in groups.

Grace was the first to move. She couldn’t wait to show everyone the prowess of the Gonzalez family—especially that arrogant young girl!

It was clear the patients the Turner family had found were genuinely difficult cases.

Every group that went in emerged with grave expressions, and each consultation took a very long time.

Only the Woods and Gonzalez families came out smiling.

Even Leonard seemed to struggle, though he managed to write a prescription.

Many couldn't even diagnose the conditions. They came out whispering amongst themselves, like students comparing answers after an exam.

“What on earth is wrong with the third patient?”

“I couldn’t tell. Whenever I asked, he just said he had a headache, but the scans showed no tumors.”

Boris overheard the conversations and felt a knot of dread in his stomach. “Rosalind, maybe we should just skip this. You have no idea how terrible Theodore and I are at medicine…”

“Let’s go.” With that, Rosalind slung her bag over her shoulder and stood up, her eyes pure and striking.

Their number was called. Based on past rankings, they were the last group.

After all, none of them had any clinical record, and they were all still students.

Boris clung to the doorframe. “Rosalind, I really can’t do this! Find someone else, I…”

Rosalind swung her long leg out and kicked him squarely into the room.

The Young family contingent fell silent.

No one took the three of them seriously.

Theodore was also in a daze. “But Grandma Megan told me she had no talent, that her aptitude was average at best…”

“That’s two patients in three minutes!” Boris held up two fingers.

Across the room, Rosalind had already placed her fingertips on the third patient's wrist.

From behind a curtain, the patient coughed repeatedly, yet his breathing was steady. His pulse was strong, with no discernible irregularities.

Rosalind first raised an eyebrow, then closed her eyes.

She seemed to be contemplating, trying to get a clearer read on his pulse.

“You said you have a headache?” Rosalind opened her eyes and looked toward the curtain.

The patient coughed twice, his voice raspy but unhurried. “Yes. I don’t know what’s going on. Since last month, my head has been hurting off and on. I’ve seen doctors, but none of them could tell me what’s wrong.”

Rosalind’s lips curved into a smile. Without asking any more questions, she lowered her gaze and began writing on the prescription slip…
