Mrs. Gonzalez Sr. had clearly misunderstood. Her eyes, fixed on the medical book, grew brighter and brighter. “Rachel, you’re the one I can always count on. With these two items, curing Mr. Turner’s illness will be just around the corner!”

“Really?” Rachel was overjoyed. “Then when can we meet Mr. Turner? I mean, Mrs. Gonzalez Sr., could you take me along to broaden my horizons? You know the Turner family only invited families with a legacy in medicine, and neither the Yates nor the Cooper family has any connections in that area.”

With the Celestial Nettle in hand, Mrs. Gonzalez Sr. stopped playing hard to get. “Of course, we’ll all go. Once we’ve cured Mr. Turner, I’ll be sure to introduce you to the Turner family.”

Upon hearing this, Rachel became even more excited, eagerly fawning over Mrs. Gonzalez Sr.

Yolanda, for once, stood aside without saying much, her head bowed as if lost in thought.

Mrs. Gonzalez Sr. didn't care about her petty thoughts. So what if she missed out on the Martinez family? Once she cured Mr. Turner, the entire Gonzalez family would be able to walk tall in the medical world. What could Cadogan Practice do then? Would they dare to make an enemy of the Turner family?

Mrs. Gonzalez Sr. had it all figured out. Oblivious to whether the mother and daughter from the Yates family were still there, she picked up the medical book and began flipping through it, unable to put it down.

Seeing this, Yolanda’s brow furrowed even deeper, and it didn’t relax even after they left the Gonzalez estate.

“Mom,” Yolanda said, feeling that something was off after mulling it over. “Do you think Grandma might have some real skills that she passed on to Rosalind?”

Rachel scoffed, “What real skills could that poor old woman have? All she knows is how to mess with her rotten herbal dregs. She even caused someone’s death with her treatments before. Yolanda, don’t you dare say any of this in front of your master. She and your grandmother don’t get along.”

“I just think my master’s reaction was a bit strange,” Yolanda said, her doubts lingering. “Should we look into it?”

Rachel waved her hand dismissively. “What’s there to look into? If that old woman really had skills, would she be holed up in a foot massage parlor? You haven’t seen her place. It’s tiny and run-down.”
