If she wanted to ruin someone online, she had plenty of ways to do it!
Warner casually glanced at David, who immediately understood his boss' unspoken command and started to follow Rachel.
But Rosalind stepped in his way with a slow smile. "Grandma said to let them go."
David hesitated, looking up.
"Listen to her," Warner's voice was light, as if it were the most normal thing in the world.
Smith, however, was utterly shocked. Since when did Mr. Turner take orders from anyone?
Just who was this young woman!?
Rosalind chewed on a fruit drop, "We have to give them a chance to turn over a new leaf. I'm a generous person."
"Oh?" Warner raised an eyebrow, fiddling with the bracelet on his wrist, clearly not believing a word she said.
And she was, in fact, lying. She stopped David from following because she didn't want her plan to be disrupted.
For Rachel, losing everything would be a punishment far worse than death.
"My friend, you doubt me," Rosalind said, deliberately changing the subject. She tossed a small bag of medicated lozenges to him with a move that was both graceful and cool. "Thanks for earlier. Nice bracelet, by the way."
Warner smiled, looking at the bag in his palm. He casually unwrapped one and popped it into his mouth.
Smith was numb. He had never seen Mr. Turner interact with anyone like this before.
That young woman didn't seem to be the least bit afraid of him.
My God! Who on earth was she?
Rosalind glanced sideways at Smith, who was still sizing her up, and raised an eyebrow. "What's your ailment?"
Bringing him here for a check-up was just an excuse Mr. Turner had come up with.
Smith was still baffled that Mr. Turner had flown back from Ergo a day early on his private jet.
But now, he was beginning to understand his boss' intentions. Smith straightened up. "I have back pain."
