Go Back and I Rule There novel Chapter 138

"I, I'm…" He was at a complete loss for words.

Finally, Rosalind came to his rescue, gently coaxing her grandmother. "Grandma, he was referred by the Lopez family. He's been on television here in Sol."

"He's been on television?!" Mrs. Yates Sr.'s attitude shifted instantly. She looked at Fitch and declared, "Then he's an honored guest! We must treat him well!"

Fitch was suddenly grateful for his recent TV appearances.

"That's not necessary, I…"

Rosalind cut him off with a smile. "Oh, it is. I'll take him out to a nice restaurant later."

"Yes, a nice restaurant is a must," Megan agreed. People of her generation trusted what they saw on TV. "Your Grandpa Hugo is still looking out for us."

Fitch was confused. Who?

Rosalind shot him a look. "The principal has always been like that, you know. He even joined my stream to boost my numbers, which is how Mr. Bright noticed us. He was originally going to invest in the Lopez family; we were just a fortunate side project."

Fitch, who had traveled all the way from Prax to Sol just for her, immediately nodded. "Right! Just a side project!"

That seemed to put Megan at ease, though she whispered to Rosalind, "Is your Grandpa Hugo also partnering with them?"

"He'll be there when we sign the contracts," Rosalind said in a calm, steady voice. "Mr. Bright is just here today to see the place."

Fitch nodded right on cue. "Exactly! Just seeing the place!"

If word of his meek demeanor got back to the business world, people would think he'd been possessed.

Yves didn't even dare to look at Mr. Bright's face, afraid it would give him nightmares.

But Megan was still cautious. "If you're really taking him to a restaurant, you should bring Galeno with you."
