“Much more. When Veritas Medical becomes famous, we can even open branch clinics,” Rosalind said, tucking a stray white hair behind her grandmother’s ear. “You’ve always wanted to go to Prax, haven’t you? We’ll open a clinic in Prax.”

Grandma Megan chuckled as she listened. “Oh, my silly girl. Do you think just anyone can open a clinic in Prax? That’s the nation’s capital. But for my Rosalind to have such grand ambitions, it makes me truly happy!”

Megan had lived a long life. In her youth, she was too headstrong and didn't understand people. Now, in her old age, she had lost her job, the use of her legs, and even the prestigious title of her medical family. Her son was unfilial, and his wife was even worse.

She used to sit in this small courtyard and wonder what she would do if she could choose all over again.

But she didn't need another chance. With Rosalind and Galeno by her side, she could still practice medicine.

She felt that no other time in her life had been so full of promise!

“Then I must work hard and treat patients well, to save up for Rosalind’s future,” Megan chattered happily. “And Galeno will need to get married someday too.”

Galeno’s mouth twitched. A wife?

Rosalind didn’t interfere with her grandmother's thoughts. Whatever happened, Megan’s happiness was the most important thing.

As for everyone else, they could be dealt with one by one…

As Rosalind’s gaze fell, the night grew deeper.

Her grandmother stayed up later than usual, full of energy. She even took out her old medical certificates and award banners, hanging them in the front hall.

It wasn't until even Galeno couldn’t stop yawning that she finally went to bed.

When Rosalind came out of the room, Galeno was instantly wide awake. He gestured with his hands: I’m ready! Let’s go destroy the Cooper family! Then we’ll see how arrogant that Rachel can be!

“First, we open the clinic. Grandma’s happiness doesn’t depend on those scumbags.” Rosalind’s goal was clear. She plucked an acacia blossom that had fallen on her shoulder, her smile cool. “We’ll get to Prax eventually. There’s no rush.”

Galeno obeyed, nodding with his determined face.

Rosalind picked up the laptop he had assembled. “Let’s begin. Keep it quiet. Don’t wake Grandma.”
