Find Me In Your Labyrinth novel Chapter 1219

"What the hell is going on?" Charlie asked curiously.

Jonathan put down his phone, poured himself a drink, and kept mum.

The thought of Estelle being with Manley that day stirred up a storm of rage in his heart!

"Why won't you call Estelle back?" Charlie pushed the phone towards him.

Jonathan glanced at it but didn't pick it up.

"What if something happened? It's late," Charlie said calmly.

Jonathan's gaze hardened. Without hesitation, he picked up the phone and dialled Estelle's number. It went straight to voicemail.

Jonathan frowned, dialled again, but still, voicemail.

His face turned serious. He stood up, grabbed his jacket and strode out the door.

"Easy!" Charlie called out to his retreating figure. "Maybe Estelle just blocked your number!"

Jonathan's figure stiffened and then disappeared out the door.

On the way, Jonathan called Estelle twice more. Both times, her phone was off.

He drove like a bat out of hell, and soon he was at her apartment. Just as he was about to call her again, he noticed the lights in her room were on.

Was she home? Why wasn't she picking up? Was her phone dead, or had she really blocked his number?

She couldn't have been at home all this time with a dead phone. So, she blocked his number!

Jonathan's face turned even grimmer.

A few minutes later, the lights in Estelle's room went out, confirming to Jonathan that she was home!

"Oh!" Henson replied, a little disappointed, "I understand."

Jonathan didn't eat much before putting down his chopsticks. "I'm heading out. Call me if you need anything."

"Drive safe!" Henson replied.

Once Jonathan left, Henson lost his appetite. He drank a few sips of milk and went upstairs to wait for Estelle for the tutoring session.

Estelle didn't sleep well the night before. By the time she woke up, it was already 8:30. She didn't have time for breakfast, so she freshened up, packed her things and left.

At the last moment, she remembered that her phone was still off. She turned it on while waiting for the elevator.

As soon as the phone switched on, it showed three missed calls - from Magdalen, Emily, and Jonathan.

She glanced at the time and realized that Jonathan had tried to call her back the previous night when her phone was charging.
