At 1:00 am sharp, the William family brought Josh over. Margaret instructed them to place him in Timothy's room.
Margaret usually went to bed around 9:00 pm, so she had already gotten some sleep just now. Timothy was also an early sleeper. Hence, they had no idea that Michelle and Harold had paid a visit earlier.
Catherine and her children lowered their voices and kept thanking Margaret sincerely.
"Don't worry, I'll try my best to cure Josh," Margaret whispered while sending them out.
When she returned, Demi was already in the room.
"How is it, Demi? Can you cure him?" Margaret asked.
"Yes," Demi replied while taking out her acupuncture needle kit.
Margaret rambled on, "Proceed with caution. Mr. William has helped us several times in the past. So if you can save him, do your best."
"Alright, Grandma. Go get some rest, " Demi responded with a smile.
Josh had indeed helped them many times. As a police officer, he had intervened several times when she and Timothy were bullied by the other kids in the neighborhood. He scolded and chased away the bullies for them.
He also advised them to call the police when they get bullied, assuring them that help would be provided. Even though it didn't completely stop the bullying, Josh's intervention made the bullies act a little more restrained.
One time, she had used a kitchen knife and made a shallow cut on the neck of a bully who was picking on Timothy. The bully's parents stormed to her doorstep in a rage, demanding compensation and threatening legal action.
They even tried to hurt her. Luckily, Josh and the other neighbors stepped in to protect her. He even reprimanded the bully's parents, saying it was her self-defense since their child was the aggressor.
Demi recalled these memories as she inserted the needles. Although many memories from her past life seemed blurry, she slowly remembered them once she saw the person.
Even though Margaret wasn't able to help, she stayed at the side, worrying. She even breathed slowly to keep quiet so that she wouldn't disturb Demi.
