Over at the Moone residence, a middle-aged woman kneeled before Margaret, sobbing uncontrollably. Her face was streaked with tears and mucus.
"Mrs. Moone, please, I'm begging you! Please let me know how you recovered! Did you find a good doctor? Or did your family go somewhere to pray?
"My husband is only 50 years old, and he's about to pass soon. How are the kids and I supposed to live without him? Both my kids are still unmarried!" she cried.
Audrey stood beside her, sighing at the scene.
"Catherine, please get up. Kneeling won't help," Margaret said helplessly.
Over the past few days, Margaret had been going out and was spotted by the neighbors. Word eventually spread to the William family. Josh William's wife, Catherine Myers, paid the visit to beg for a solution. She was helpless and desperate to find a way to heal her husband.
Margaret understood her desperation—people tried everything when faced with serious illness.
Catherine looked at Margaret tearfully and said, "Mrs. Moone, please think carefully. Did you take medicine from a specific doctor? Or go somewhere to pray?"
Margaret, who was soft-hearted, hesitated about helping the William family. Beside her, Audrey, noticing Margaret's hesitation, held her breath and waited silently.
After a while, Margaret lowered her head and said seriously, "Catherine, I did try something. But it's risky. If you tried, you might end up harming Josh instead… "
She trailed off, uncertain if she should continue.
"It doesn't matter! Just tell me what you did. If something happens to Josh, I definitely won't blame you—I won't blame anyone! Even the doctors said he doesn't have much time left. If I do nothing, he'll pass away in a few days! So, Margaret, I beg you to tell me what to do! Please!" Catherine cried.
Audrey quickly added, "Mrs. Moone, I'll vouch for you. If Catherine tries to blame you in the future, I'll testify on your behalf. So if you have any solutions, please just tell her."
Audrey had always been kind-hearted.
