Thomas quickly squatted down to check on Ana. "What's wrong, Ana?"
Ana lowered her head and said tearfully, "It's nothing."
This was a tactic she had learned to use in front of the Pitt family after finding that she wasn't actually their biological daughter.
She wouldn't cry loudly or make a scene to avoid annoying people, but instead, she would subtly display emotions of grievance, sadness, or fear, then put on a strong act to pretend that she was fine.
By doing so, she was able to make her family feel much more sorry and guilty toward her.
"Did you just cry?" Thomas lifted Ana's face up to look at her face.
Sure enough, her eyes were red and swollen.
"Thomas, do you think we've been isolated by everyone else?" Ana said with a slight sob.
The comment section immediately exploded into chaos.
"I feel so bad for them. Ana is even crying out of anger!"
"That vicious gal has gone too far! She deliberately befriended others, isolating Thomas and Ana."
"They've been boycotting her since the start of the episode. Demi had helped Wendy and Maria, but she didn't even help Ana! I saw the lonely expression on Ana's face. She was trying hard not to show it, and I felt so sorry for her!"
"Do you even know what you're talking about? Do you expect Demi to carry a third load on top of carrying two loads already?
"Just because your idol is a heiress of a wealthy family doesn't mean that Demi is obligated to help her like a slave? And what about her brother? Doesn't she have a brother to help her?"
"Who's boycotting her? Everyone obviously enjoys hanging out with Demi. Is that not allowed? They can get along with Demi too."
"Earlier everyone was fine going together, but then they insisted on going alone. Now, they're acting like everyone is boycotting them. Who are they trying to fool with that pitiful look?"
"Who doesn't know the vicious gal hates Thomas and Ana?"
"So we should just indulge her in her tantrums? She shouldn't blame others for being capable if she's incapable herself!"
"Demi gets called 'vicious gal' every day and receives insults and accusations, but has she ever cried?"
"I think that she shouldn't participate in these kinds of shows if she can't handle it! She'll just end up making everyone look like the bad guys!"
"Ana believes that everyone should just cater to her emotions and not join Demi, but why don't she cater to everyone's emotions and join Demi instead? It's not like Demi would really kick her out of the group."
"If you want to be liked when joining these types of variety shows, you must be like Demi. You can't be too pretentious, too whiny, and you must be willing to do any task. Who would want to hang out with a spoiled princess who just waits to be served?"
