"I'll take Demi with me now," Felix said.
"Alright," the middle-aged officer responded, nodding repeatedly.
"Demi, let's go," Felix called out to Demi.
She stood up, ready to leave.
"Hey, no! This isn't right! We still haven't gotten to the bottom of things! How can you just let her leave? She's clearly in cahoots with those guys to harm Erika! She's the culprit!" Rebecca hurriedly shouted.
"Based on the current evidence, it's Erika who intended to harm others! Demi hasn't broken any laws," the officer said with a serious expression.
Demi cast a cold glance at Rebecca, who was fuming with anger, before walking over to Felix's side and following him out.
Before they left, Demi lightly flicked her fingers. She gave those scumbags a gift.
…
Felix furrowed his brow, clearly displeased.
"From now on, when people call you, don't just come out like this. Always have Charles and his lackeys around to accompany you," he told Demi after they left the police station.
"I can handle it," Demi replied with a casual smile.
Felix's brow furrowed deeper. "Forget it. I'll send someone to protect you."
"No need! No one can hurt me." Demi waved her hand dismissively.
Felix looked at Demi's confident expression, then remembered the bloody photos and videos of her on Erika's phone.
He had already made a decision.
"Alright, so where are you headed now? Are you going back home or going back to school? I'll give you a ride," Felix said, changing the subject.
"I'm heading back to school. I already miss too many classes every week. I can't afford to fall behind even more," Demi said.
With that, Demi got into Felix's car and headed toward Moran Academy.
As soon as Demi sat down in the car, her phone rang. It was Charles calling.
"Hello!" Demi answered the call.
Earlier, Charles and Kinley had attempted to call her multiple times, but she was at the police station and couldn't take the call.
