A Second Life, A New Power novel Chapter 375

"Maybe we shouldn't go in. We're trying to escape the rain, but we can't risk our lives over it," Vivian said, looking warily at the dark cave entrance.

"It's fine. I'll just have a word with the locals when we get inside," Demi said with a smile, waving at the others before slipping into the cave.

"Wait a second, Ms. Moone! This really is a wild animal's den. It's dangerous to just go in like that," the staff called out to Demi.

"Trust me. This is the best option. Setting up tents will take too long," Demi replied, already disappearing inside.

Comments started flying in the live stream chat.

"Wait. She knows it's an animal's den, and she's still going in? Isn't Demi being a bit reckless?"

"Does she think she can just scare off any wild animals that come her way?"

"What if it's a whole pack of them? This is really dangerous."

"I can't help it. I blindly trust Demi. She's not the type to do something reckless."

"Maybe she's gotten a bit too confident because everyone likes and trusts her? Something will go wrong if she keeps being reckless like this!"

The people who had been through thick and thin with Demi, like Maria, exchanged glances before following her into the cave. They were now following her without question.

"If you're worried, we can have someone bring the tents and tools for you," Nigel said, looking back at Herne and the others before entering.

"Forget it. Let's just go in too," Herne said after a brief moment of hesitation. He followed suit, entering the cave.

Caitlin quickly followed behind.

Ollie and Cody exchanged a look before turning to Vivian. "We should go in as well. There's enough of us to handle anything. Honestly, it's probably safer inside than out here."

Vivian thought for a moment before nodding.

Outside, only Daniel, Thomas, and Ana remained.

"Daniel, let's go in too. Everyone else is already inside," Thomas urged.

"I think Demi's being reckless. She knows it's an animal den, yet she's still going in," Daniel said, furrowing his brow.

"I… I think so too. It's not safe. And if a beast comes, it could… drag the crew into it," Ana said, frowning and hesitating.

"Shouldn't you try to stop her?" Daniel asked, looking at the staff.

The staff were on the phone with Richard, who was just as conflicted. The staff didn't know what to say.

"Fine. I'll go in first," Thomas said, stepping into the cave.

"Are all your security measures in place? What's your plan if we encounter a large beast? I hope you're ready," Daniel said sternly to the staff.

"We… We've got everything set up," the staff replied, nodding quickly.
