A Second Life, A New Power novel Chapter 367

After a long pause, Harold heard Daniel's reply through the phone. "I'll think about it. There's too much going on at the company right now. I may not be able to get away."

"Is there anything I can do to help? Alex can pitch in too," Harold quickly offered.

Though Daniel had long been designated as the Pitt Group's heir, the other five siblings had all received business training and interned at the family company.

"Okay. Let me think about what you two can handle," Daniel replied.

...

The next day was Friday. Demi was scheduled to film for the show.

Since they were traveling together, Felix had arranged to meet Demi at the airport. When they arrived at the airport's VIP lounge, Demi was surprised to see Daniel, Thomas, and Ana there too.

She frowned slightly. Did the Pitts love this show so much that they were taking turns to appear?

After a brief glance, she deliberately chose a seat far from the three siblings, put on her headphones, and started studying.

She didn't expect Daniel to approach her. Then again, it wasn't that surprising.

Though Demi hadn't been keeping up with the news, she'd heard enough to know that the Pitt Group's stocks were plummeting. Of course, they were desperate enough to send Daniel to reconcile with her.

"Here," Daniel said, handing Demi a cup of bubble tea.

Demi glanced up and deliberately ignored his presence. Her time was precious, and it was not to be wasted on insignificant people and matters.

Undeterred, Daniel smiled and offered Felix a coffee. "Mr. Harrington, care for a drink?"

"I can afford my own," Felix replied coldly, rejecting the gesture.

Daniel was speechless. Both of them didn't show him any courtesy.

"What would you like?" Felix turned to ask Demi instead.

"Hmm… Jasmine-flavored coffee," she answered after a brief pause. She'd tried it yesterday with Charles and the others, and it was surprisingly good.
