A Second Life, A New Power novel Chapter 358

"Your hearts are just as twisted!" Margaret snapped through gritted teeth.

Then, she pointed at the Pitts and shouted, "Get out of here right now! Don't come here just to bully Demi! I wanted her to acknowledge you as family because I hoped she could have a loving home and a few more people to cherish her. It's not so that you could treat her like this!

"I'm telling you now that you'll regret this one day! Demi is a good person, and instead of cherishing her, you dote on some wild child! You must all be blind!"

Although Margaret was kind, that didn't mean she didn't have a temper—especially with her streetwise background, she had no shortage of ways to curse someone out!

"Mrs. Moone, our daughter is not some 'wild child.' Please watch your words!" Michelle shot back with a deep frown.

Margaret shouted angrily, "I don't care if she's a wild child or whatever! All I know is—you people are out of your minds! You ignore your own child and spoil someone else's!"

"If there's nothing else, then go. There are many things Grandma and Timothy don't know yet. If I accidentally mention something—like Ana's real background—that'd be embarrassing, right?" Demi raised an eyebrow and looked at the Pitts with a half-sneer.

"You!" Michelle's expression froze in an instant, and her whole body stiffened.

"Think it over. I don't want you to regret this in the future," Stephen said grimly before he stood up and walked out.

Now that things had reached this point, there was no point in continuing the conversation.

The others all breathed a sigh of relief and followed him out.

"Emi, don't be mad at us anymore. Come home with us," Daniel said earnestly before leaving.

Demi stared back at him like he had lost his mind.

Outside the house, Harold was still fuming and standing there with a gloomy expression.

When he saw Stephen come out, he called out, "Dad! We should look—"

He was about to say they should look into who gave Demi the villa, but just as Harold opened his mouth, Stephen slapped him hard across the face.
