A Second Life, A New Power novel Chapter 357

The two cups of tea getting flung in Harold's face had successfully shut him up and cut off his filthy words.

Harold wiped the tea and tea leaves from his face, looked down at the stains on his clothes, and roared in fury, "Demi!"

"Mr. Harold, you have a filthy mindset—that's why everything you see looks dirty," Demi said coldly.

"How am I filthy? Didn't you just say all that about Annie?" Harold shouted as he stood up.

So, because I said that about Ana, are you here to avenge her? But wasn't it your mother who brought up that topic?" Demi stared at Harold coldly.

"Harold, sit down!" Stephen and Daniel both barked at the same time.

Harold pointed straight at Demi as he turned to speak to Stephen and Daniel. "Dad, Daniel, we need to be clear on this. If she really clings to some old man for money, and we take her back in the future, it'll be a disgrace to the Pitt name!"

Stephen's and Daniel's expressions darkened. Just as they were about to scold him, a sharp and furious voice rang out.

"All of you, shut your mouths!"

At the same moment, a glass teapot on the table shattered at the Pitts' feet with a bang, breaking into pieces.

Margaret's face had reddened from sheer rage. She looked at the Pitts as she shook all over with fury. "So, this is how you bullied Demi? In my heart, Demi is the most outstanding and kind child—but what do you all take her for? And to think you are her real parents and brothers!

"She earned this house by curing an important person, who then lent it to her! Before you speak, clean your filthy mouths! You look all proper on the outside, but who would've thought you're so vicious and disgusting inside!"

Margaret pointed toward the door and shouted angrily, "Get out of my house right now! You're not welcome here. I should never have listened to your nonsense and let you in!"

Simultaneously, Timothy, who had been standing by Margaret's side, suddenly grabbed a pillow and charged over to hit Harold square in the face.

Harold got flustered from the beating and raised an arm to strike back.

Demi saw this and shielded Timothy, shouting coldly, "Harold, you dare lay a finger on my brother? You barge into someone else's home and make a scene, and you think you're in the right? Get out of here now!"

"Harold, go outside first," Stephen said as he tugged at his face.

Harold snorted angrily and stormed out.

Demi gently held the still-shaking Margaret and said softly, "It's okay. Grandma, don't be angry."
