A Second Life, A New Power novel Chapter 355

In the end, Charles hemmed and hawed for a long time but still couldn't figure it out.

"It's fine. Just explain it to me after you've understood it," Demi said as she pulled her book back.

Charles felt a little embarrassed.

"I've had a lot of work lately and fell behind for many classes. From now on, I'll have to ask you if there's something I don't understand," Demi added.

Charles stammered a little as he replied, "O-Okay…"

"Dad, hire tutors for me—one for each subject," Charles demanded loudly as soon as he got home and saw Derek, who had come home early for once.

"Did the sun rise from the west? What made you want tutors all of a sudden?" Derek, who was reading the newspaper, turned to look at his son with a surprised-filled gaze.

"Weren't you the one who told me to get into the top ten of the school? If I don't work hard, how can I possibly make it?" Charles retorted confidently.

"Alright. As long as you're willing to study, why would I refuse? I'll have someone find tutors for you," Derek said with a smile.

After saying that, he went back to reading the newspaper.

"Dad, get them to find some now. I'm starting tonight. At the very least, get me a physics tutor first," Charles yelled urgently at Derek.

Tonight, he had to figure out that physics problem.

Derek was even more surprised to hear this. He put down the newspaper, picked up his phone, and said, "I hope this isn't just a passing whim, or I'll break your legs!"

Charles remained silent and couldn't help but glance at his right leg, which was in a cast.

Oh, his poor, ill-fated leg!

When Demi and Timothy got home, they found members of the Pitt family sitting on their living room couch. Everyone was there except Ana and Robert.

In front of them were tea and fruits, while Margaret sat off to the side, looking a little uneasy. If an outsider who didn't know the situation saw this scene, they would have thought the Pitts owned the place.
