A Second Life, A New Power novel Chapter 353

Robert aired out all his grievances. "One moment, someone's asking me what Demi's relationship with our family is. The next moment, someone's asking what grudge Demi has against us.

"Then, someone else asks if it's true we abandoned her in a burning car. And today, someone asked me, 'Is Demi really your biological sister?' What was I supposed to say? I don't know anything myself!"

"These past few weeks, whether I was in class or doing anything else, my mind was full of chaotic thoughts. I can't even sleep at night.

"And now, you're telling me you hid everything from me so that I could focus on studying? Don't you think that's ridiculous?" Robert shouted angrily, his eyes reddening with emotion.

Thomas stood frozen in place. He understood how Robert felt—he hadn't been doing any better himself these days.

"Alright, Robert. Let's go back for now. A lot happened today, and Mom and Dad are exhausted. We can't add to their worry," Thomas said gently.

"Then tell me the truth!" Robert shouted again.

"After today… after today, we'll tell you everything," Thomas quickly promised.

"You really think I'll believe you?" Robert sneered through red-rimmed eyes. He then turned and walked off.

Thomas hurried after him once more.

Back inside the villa, although Abigail felt the atmosphere was off today, she still cautiously asked, "Mrs. Pitt, dinner is almost ready. Shall I bring it to the table now?"

Michelle hesitated for a moment, then nodded. "Bring it to the table."

After that, she instructed her eldest son, "Daniel, go call your father for dinner. No matter what happens, we'll deal with it—but we must not ruin our health."

Daniel nodded and went upstairs. He found Stephen in the study.

"I'm not eating. You all go ahead," Stephen said, his voice sounding low and exhausted.

"Dad, the press release from Demi's side isn't out yet. Maybe… There's still hope. Please eat something. You can't let yourself go hungry before the real battle even begins," Daniel said softly, trying to coax him.
