A Second Life, A New Power novel Chapter 318

"Eat one a day. Don't take more, and don't skip any doses. Take one now," Demi said.

"R-Right now?" Charles stuttered.

Would this kill him?

Even though Felix told him to take it, he still felt uneasy. After all, as the old saying went, medicine shouldn't be taken recklessly.

"Yes, the sooner you take it, the sooner you'll get better." Demi looked at Charles.

Charles was speechless.

"Alright, I'll give it a try." Charles took a deep breath, as if he were making a life-or-death decision. He popped the cork, poured out a pill, and swallowed it as if he were going to his execution.

For the entire morning, Charles focused on his body. He decided that if anything felt off, he had to be ready to call emergency services.

But by noon, he was still perfectly fine!

It was only the broken bones in his leg that felt a little itchy.

Over at Pitt Group, Stephen invited Dylan over to perform some geomancy and also to check on Ana.

Dylan first performed geomancy for the layout of the company before being ushered into Stephen's office.

"Dylan, please take a look at my daughter. Has she really angered the gods?" Stephen asked Dylan respectfully while he pointed at Ana.

Dylan, in his 50s and dressed in a traditional outfit, exuded an air of wisdom.

Ana sat on the couch with her hands nervously clenched together.

Dylan studied her closely and then said, "She does have some bad energy surrounding her, likely due to lying against the will of the gods."

"Dylan, is there a way to fix this?" Stephen asked urgently.

Dylan sipped his tea and spoke unhurriedly. "As I said last time, she needs to apologize to the person she wronged and seek their forgiveness. Then, she must sincerely repent to the gods."

Ana couldn't help but ask, "Is there any other way?"

She didn't want to go face Demi and suffer humiliation again!

"Another option is to do good deeds," Dylan said.

"How many good deeds would it take to cleanse the bad energy?" Stephen asked quickly.
