A Second Life, A New Power novel Chapter 311

Demi and Charles arrived at the principal's office just as Timothy, Larry, and their homeroom teacher stepped inside.

Jacob's eyes flicked to Charles. He hadn't expected Charles to be present. If this gets back to Mr. Fuller, his job would be in jeopardy.

Demi pulled Timothy aside and checked for any body injury. He was a mess, covered in dust, his hair sticking up in every direction, but he didn't seem hurt.

Then she turned to the boy that Timothy fought with. His round cheeks were flushed with indignation, his frame sturdy and well-fed. He looked like he'd never missed a meal in his life when standing next to Timothy. That boy must be Larry.

"Alright. Why did you two fight?" Jacob looked away from Charles and tried to sound calm.

Derek had recommended Timothy, while Larry was the son of a teacher who'd been fired for causing trouble.

Jacob had specifically told their teachers to keep an eye on them and report any issues immediately. That's why they'd been brought straight to his office.

Larry looked aggrieved as he complained, "I was just standing by the corridor. Timothy went crazy and started hitting me!"

Demi frowned. Larry was obviously lying.

Jacob turned to Timothy and asked, "Is that true?"

Timothy didn't answer. He just stood there and glared at Larry with red eyes.

"Mr. Stronghold, he doesn't speak," Demi reminded.

Jacob asked the two teachers, "What do the other students say?"

One of the teachers—a woman in her thirties—spoke up. "Mr. Peyton and I asked around. No one saw what happened. They just said Timothy suddenly rushed up to Larry and attacked."

The woman was evidently Larry's homeroom teacher. Beside her was Ian, Timothy's teacher.

"From what I've observed, Timothy isn't the type to attack others without reason. There must be more to this," Ian said, his brow furrowed.

Jacob was about to speak when a loud voice rang from the hallway. "Who dared to lay a hand on my son?"

Demi frowned. That voice sounded familiar.
