In the end, Thomas and Ann visited George and Chad.
Before they headed over, they asked them for permission via WhatsApp.
"Please sit down," Chad greeted them.
Meanwhile, George, who was wearing an apron, brought out the last dish from the kitchen—clam chowder.
Since George and Chad didn't know how to cook well, both of them only made two dishes each, including soup.
When Thomas sat down and stared at the food on the table, he was stunned.
Though the dishes looked different, all of them were burnt.
The moment they entered the courtyard, he smelled something burning but thought nothing of it since he assumed it was normal. Unexpectedly, all the dishes were burnt, apart from the bowl of soup.
Swallowing briefly, Thomas wondered how he would be able to eat the food later on.
Meanwhile, Ana had the same expression on her face as well.
The comments poured in.
"Haha! George and Chad tried their best."
"I'm a little worried. Won't they get a stomach ache after eating this?"
"Compared to Demi's dishes, the food that George and Chad made isn't appetizing at all."
"Maria has a talent for reading people. She noticed Demi's potential immediately."
"To be honest, I'm starting to like Demi."
Then, Thomas, Ana, Chad, and George started eating.
They briefly ate the other dishes before reaching for the soup. Though the clam chowder didn't taste good, it probably wasn't poisonous. The risotto wasn't well-cooked.
"Oh, that's right. Mr. Pitt, did you and Ms. Demi have a conflict in the past?" Chad couldn't help but ask.
Pausing briefly, Thomas looked at Ana, who was staring at him nervously.
She was afraid that the former would reveal the truth.
