Demi didn't expose the truth in public because she didn't want to be tangled up with the Pitt family. She wasn't trying to protect them and Ana at all.
Her fate with Stephen and Michelle hadn't been severed entirely yet. So, she didn't want a bunch of people coming to try and talk some sense into her after she told everyone the truth. Those people might tell her to respect her parents and be nice to them.
Once she cut ties with them completely, the troubles that came with the relationship would naturally decrease. After all, once the Great Almighty had decided on the matter, no mortals could interfere.
"Let's go back now, Daniel." Ana ran into the hall with teary eyes and tried to pull Daniel out of there.
He hesitated for a moment before following her. Before he left, he waved at his brothers to follow him.
Harold, Alex, and Thomas glanced at Demi before leaving as well. They were all worried that she would start exposing the truth without a care in the world.
Meanwhile, Robert was still staring at Demi in a daze, looking like a lost child. His mind was filled with what she had said earlier. Suddenly, Alex came back into the hall and dragged him away.
"Did they really abandon you in a car on fire and then escape themselves? Did they seriously close the door on you?" Maria asked in disbelief while tugging Demi's arm.
Demi just nodded in silence.
"Those animals!" Maria cursed in anger.
She couldn't understand why the Pitt family would be so cruel. After all, Demi was their biological daughter and sister.
Meanwhile, the crowd looked stunned as well, especially the students in the International Program. They had suddenly found out a lot of secrets, and they now understood why Ana was so upset when Demi had joined the program.
Ana's friends had even started bullying Demi since the first day. So, the real question for them was whether Ana had told her friends to bother Demi.
Wendy and the others, as well as those who had seen the show, also understood why Demi hated Thomas and Ana. They also knew why the Pitt siblings would always look so awkward when facing Demi.
Felix stood at the door, coldly watching the Pitt family leave. Then, he sent out a message on his phone.
"Demi was in an accident with the Pitt family some time ago. Send me the surveillance footage."
After thinking about it, he added, "Get the policeman in charge of the case to see me as well!"
Soon after that, he sent another message. "Get him to see me by tonight. I need to deal with something now. I'll contact you once I'm done. Tell the policeman in charge to head out now!"
After sending out his messages, he sighed and walked toward Demi. Actually, he was already there when the Pitt family first entered the hall. So, he managed to witness everything.
The others might think that Demi was just throwing an exaggerated fit when she said she had died once, but Felix believed that she was telling the truth.
