A Second Life, A New Power novel Chapter 239

Harold had abandoned Demi in a car on fire? Hearing that, Robert couldn't help thinking about something else.

Before Demi disappeared from the Pitt family, Michelle, Harold, and Thomas brought Ana to a shoot. Naturally, Demi tagged along as well. When that was over, they all came back except for Demi. Demi didn't appear in Robert's house ever since.

He even asked everyone why she didn't come back. However, the people who answered him would look distracted. When he tried asking again, they would cut him off in annoyance.

For a while now, everyone in the Pitt family would look frustrated every time Robert mentioned Demi. In hindsight, they didn't just look annoyed. Instead, they looked guilty as well.

So, Robert finally figured it out. The car was caught on fire when they went out that time, and everyone abandoned Demi to escape on their own. He wondered if that really happened because it really was too much.

Meanwhile, the rest of the crowd was stunned as well. What did Demi mean by abandoning her in a car on fire? They couldn't believe Demi and the Pitt family had a grudge like that, especially Maria. She learned about this for the first time as Demi never told her about it before.

Since Maria finally knew what was going on, she wanted to kill the Pitts badly. They had crossed the line. Even though Maria was already mad for what had happened previously, she really wanted to commit murder after hearing what happened in the past.

After all, Demi wasn't just a stranger to the Pitt family. She was their actual daughter and sister.

"Demi, let's talk about it when we go home," Daniel said with a pleading tone.

"Home? Whose home?" Demi smiled with her eyebrows raised.

"Are you afraid now? Since you're bold enough to come here and disgust me, you shouldn't feel afraid at all. Let me give you guys some advice here right now. Stop bothering me. I'm worried you might not be able to handle the consequences if the truth gets out, especially that bitch of a sister of yours!"
