A Second Life, A New Power novel Chapter 230

Since Ana was sitting a little far away, she couldn't see how many gifts there were. Then, she remembered that Demi had the same birthday as her. Then, she felt confused. After all, Demi usually wouldn't celebrate her birthday on that day.

Last year, everyone only remembered it was Demi's birthday after they were done celebrating Ana's birthday. Since it was late at night and they couldn't get a cake anymore, Stephen suggested they just celebrate it with the leftover cake.

However, Demi said, "I never knew when my birthday was in the past. So, I never celebrate it on this day and just do it at the end of each year." So, everyone decided to just celebrate her birthday again at the end of the year.

Seeing how Demi's birthday was being celebrated on that day as well, Ana wondered if Demi told everyone it was her birthday as well. Then, Ana figured George was the one who gave one of the gifts. With that in mind, she thought they would also give her one.

So, Ana just waited in anticipation. However, George never approached her at all. Instead, he just walked to his seat and started scrolling on his phone. Ana was speechless when she saw that.

Thomas turned around and was a little stunned when he saw the gifts. He suddenly remembered it was Demi's birthday too and couldn't believe he would forget it. He only had a gift for Ana in his bag. So, he sent his assistant a message and told the latter to get the same gift again.

After that, he messaged Daniel. "Daniel, it's Demi's birthday today too. What should we do? We can't just celebrate Ana's birthday only and forget about Demi, right?"

Daniel: "Why didn't you say it earlier? Everything's prepared now, and Ana's name is on all the decorations!"

Thomas: "I've only just remembered it myself. Is there still time to make changes?"

Daniel: "You should talk to Demi first. We must ensure she's willing to attend the party first. Otherwise, there's no point in making the changes."
