A Second Life, A New Power novel Chapter 218

"You told me that Demi was your housekeeper!" Seraphina looked at Ana in confusion.

She continued, "When we went to your house previously, we saw Demi. You told us she was your housekeeper. Besides, you kept hinting that your housekeeper was intentionally causing trouble for you!"

Ana remained silent. She had to think carefully about what to say next, or she would be implicated.

"Ana, why would we fight with Demi for no reason? That's because we noticed that you were always upset around her, and you kept crying." Rowena stared at Ana in disbelief.

"I watched your variety show because of you. In the show, Demi kept bullying you, so I wanted to take revenge for you!" Meanwhile, Xendaya was utterly disappointed.

"We asked you if Demi bullied you and if you wanted us to help you take revenge! You just silently leaned over at your desk. It seemed as if you wanted us to avenge you!" Rowena said.

"We gossiped about Demi because we wanted to stand up for you!" Xendaya exclaimed.

Seraphina asked angrily, "Why did you distance yourself from us once we ran into trouble?"

Meanwhile, Ana clenched her fists and thought hard about what to say.

She had to protect herself.

At the next moment, she teared up and said in a shaky voice, "I was upset because of something else. All of you were mistaken—I never wanted you to deal with Demi."

Jacob and Luna fell silent.

"Mr. Stronghold, please let Rowena and the others off this time. They didn't mean it, and they were just saying it without malicious intent." Tears filled Ana's eyes as she looked at Jacob.

"What do you mean by that? You're making up rumors and bullying others, alright? Though you only used words to attack Demi, it's considered school violence! Not only did it break the school's rules, but it was also illegal. Don't you know that?" Jacob asked frustratedly.

Immediately, Ana shrank back. She had done her best.
