A Second Life, A New Power novel Chapter 210

Lately, Demi had only just caught up to ninth-grade math.

She had too much on her plate—prepping for the variety show, treating patients, reading medical books, learning survival skills, and cramming for every subject, not just math.

In addition, high school had already been in session for nearly a month before she started attending classes. She had missed everything from the beginning.

Naturally, keeping up with what the freshmen were learning now was nearly impossible.

Her Divine Sense allowed her to absorb information at an incredible speed, but understanding and fully digesting the material? That was a different story.

The real kicker was that the world of cultivation, where she had spent 300 years, often contradicted modern science.

For example, in the world of cultivation, apples could not only fly but also gain sentience. Meanwhile, modern science insisted that due to the law of gravity, apples could only fall to the ground.

That made subjects like math, physics, and chemistry even harder for her to grasp.

Ironically, the knowledge she had gained from the world of cultivation helped her excel in humanities but became a hindrance when it came to STEM subjects.

Demi did her best to solve the problem, but in the end, she had no choice but to step aside as frustration crept in.

She was about to get scolded again. The entire class was sure of it.

But Rebecca didn't lash out immediately. Instead, she went over the other problems first, deliberately skipping over Demi's as she explained the fourth and fifth questions in detail.

Only after finishing did she finally turn to Demi's work.

Then, she picked up a red piece of chalk and drew a big, fat X over it.

"This is complete garbage!" Rebecca snapped, her brows knitting together in fury.

Whenever she was angry, her voice turned sharp, making several students instinctively cringe.

She turned to Demi and barked, "Were you even paying attention in class? How the hell did you even get into Moran Academy with grades like this? Do you even know what kind of school this is?

"Moran Academy is for elites! Everyone here is top-tier! But you? You're not only useless, but you also love getting into fights!

"Is that why your grades are so terrible? Because you're too busy brawling all the time? Get out of Moran Academy! I won't let a rotten apple like you spoil the whole damn bunch!"

At the front of the class, Ana listened to Rebecca's scolding.
