A Second Life, A New Power novel Chapter 180

Soon, it was almost noon. Stephen and Daniel were still alertly waiting in the lobby, staring at the elevator and waiting for one of the four vice presidents to emerge.

However, they waited from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm, and still, they didn't see any of the vice presidents.

The father and son duo were both feeling a bit dejected. They ordered takeout and continued to wait.

They both thought that even if the four vice presidents didn't come out for lunch, they still had to come out after work.

But even when the workday ended, they still didn't see even a shadow of any of the four vice presidents.

"Oh, I forgot! They might have left through the underground parking garage." Stephen slapped his leg in frustration.

"Even if we stand at the exit of the underground parking garage, we don't recognize their cars, so we won't be able to catch them either," Daniel said, feeling a bit tired and frustrated.

"Let's ask again. Maybe they haven't finished work yet." Stephen, not willing to give up, stood up and walked over to the receptionist.

The receptionist, seeing that they had been waiting all day, decided to help them once more. "Let me help you ask again."

Stephen and Daniel watched her with hopeful gazes and anticipation.

"Sorry, but all four vice presidents are busy all day and have no time to meet with you." The receptionist put down the phone and looked apologetically at the two of them.

"Forget it, Dad. Let's go home. We'll figure something out next time," Daniel whispered.

After all, he was the CEO of a large company, and he wasn't used to begging like this. It was frustrating and made him feel somewhat uncomfortable.

He figured that if the cooperation with Harrington Group ended, they could just find another partner.

Plus, the loss this time was on Harrington Group since they had breached the contract and would have to pay a hefty compensation.

"Okay…" Stephen's gaze flickered, and he nodded.

After spending the whole day sitting down, he was feeling a bit tired too.

At that moment, neither Stephen nor Daniel knew that Harrington Group wasn't the only company that would be cutting ties with them in the future.

Thus, they were still quite relaxed, thinking that not being able to meet Harrington Group's vice presidents and ending the cooperation didn't really matter that much.
