"That's not it, Emi! At first, we just… We just wanted to have an excuse for the public… However, you just… Why would you actually start working as our caretaker?" Alex stammered as he didn't dare to say too much with other people around them.

"So, it was my fault, huh?" Demi scoffed. "I just wanted to gain my parents' and siblings' love, so what else could I have done back then? Although I had returned to my biological parents' home, I didn't even dare to eat the food they had prepared or use the things there.

"I was reserved, scared, and self-abased. I just wanted to be loved. So, I had no choice but to prove myself through working. I did everything I could to please everyone!

"However, you think I'm the one at fault in the end, don't you? But if you had treated me like an actual family member, would I have done any of that?"

Then, she asked, "Since you don't see me as family and aren't going to acknowledge me, then why did you guys take me home back then?"
