"It's alright," Demi comforted Margaret while holding the latter's hands.
"I've brought you trouble again this time. They probably came here because they found out about the Williams. I thought no one would find out if we gave the treatment secretly, but someone still found out about it. As I expected, there's nothing we can hide forever."
Margaret looked upset and frustrated, and it was clear that she was badly startled this time. First, she was shocked to see Benedict fainting in front of her. Then, she was worried that she would cause Demi more trouble.
"It's not your fault, Grandma. They were here because I treated that man before," Demi said to comfort Margaret.
"You should try to avoid treating others in the future and focus on getting the license first. You're a kind person for wanting to help others. However, some unreasonable people just don't know how to be grateful," Margaret said worriedly.
"I know, Grandma. I've bought a lot of books on my trip back here because I'm preparing to get the license," Demi said with a smile while showing the books in her hands.
Actually, when she bought the books, she never thought about that at all. After hearing what Margaret had said, Demi suddenly remembered the license. In order to make sure she could continue treating her patients, she figured she should get the license as soon as possible.
…
After Demi left, everyone else on the island did what they had to do by themselves. However, Maria and the rest were feeling a little antsy.
"Demi said she was going to check on a patient just now, but I didn't expect a military helicopter to be here to pick her up. It must've been a big shot who hired her! That means she must have great medical skills. I didn't even know that after being in a show with her for so long!"
As Tyler spoke, he looked excited and in awe. He even thought the whole experience was surreal.
"I knew Demi was a doctor practicing traditional medicine, but I never knew she was so skilled that she could treat big shots!" Maria didn't seem like she was back to her usual self yet.
"Don't you guys think Demi is way more impressive than we can ever imagine?" George said seriously.
"Indeed." Everyone nodded in response.
"In that case, I'm going to see Demi every time I need a doctor," Chad said with a grin.
"Be sure to stick close to Demi throughout the rest of the show. She'll be able to save us if we're in danger," Maria said solemnly.
"That's right."
"You're absolutely right!"
