A Second Life, A New Power novel Chapter 109

"You guys can think of other solutions. In this show, you must rely on yourselves most of the time," the staff member said firmly.

After all, this was a wilderness survival show. What would be the point of filming if the crew stepped in to help every time the guests faced difficulties?

Of course, if the guests truly couldn't handle a situation, the crew wouldn't just stand by and watch, but only if they had at least put in the effort first.

Ana stayed silent.

"Let's go back into the woods and look again. See if we can find any thicker, longer branches or tree trunks on the ground," Nigel suggested.

He felt that constantly asking the crew for help was a bit shameless.

After all, they were the ones who hadn't chosen their supplies wisely.

"Alright, let's go then. We'll stick to groups of two," Connor said.

With that, Nigel, Wendy, Connor, and Sally took the lead and left.

Thomas wiped the rain off his face, feeling a little dejected.

Why did it seem like they'd been excluded ever since they joined this show?

"Annie, let's go too." Thomas turned to Ana, only to find her eyes red-rimmed and brimming with tears.

Even though her face was already wet from the rain and she hadn't made a sound, Thomas could tell she was crying.

Ana kept wiping at her tears with the back of her hand.

"Annie, don't cry," Thomas murmured into his mic. "No one's blaming you. Just don't always try to take the lead. Listen to the more experienced ones."

"I just wanted to make something nice for everyone. Was that so wrong?" Ana sniffled, her voice trembling.

"I know you meant well, but no one's mad at you, right? Don't overthink it," Thomas said softly.

Thomas could sense the group's resistance toward Ana, but against his better judgment, he still chose to comfort her.

"Everyone else came for the adventure. Ana came to put on a crying act."
