A Second Life, A New Power novel Chapter 106

Sally and Wendy looked over in surprise. "Really? That's amazing!"

"Yes." Tyler nodded with a smile.

"I think I feel better too," Nigel added, rubbing his stomach.

Ana wanted to say it was just a placebo effect. How could those wild fruits work so quickly? But she knew Wendy was already annoyed with her, so it was best to keep quiet.

"Then you two should eat more," Wendy said happily.

"Yes, eat up! If we find more fruits, we'll save them for you guys," Sally agreed enthusiastically.

After walking a bit further, the group spotted a banana tree.

Banana trees were much shorter than coconut trees. The three men rushed forward and started pulling at the bananas, and the three women also stepped in to help.

However, bananas weren't easy to pull down by hand.

"Ana, give me the knife." Nigel reached out.

Ana was in charge of keeping the food-prep knife. She silently took it out and handed it over.

With just a few swift chops, Nigel cut down the first bunch of bananas.

Wendy held the bananas steady from below, and they successfully harvested their first batch.

Then, Nigel passed the knife to Tyler.

By the time they were done, they had collected three bunches from the lowest branches.

The three women plucked a banana and handed it to the men first. "You guys try them out."

As soon as the three men took a bite, they all pulled the same painful expression.

"So sour!"

"How bitter!"

"It's completely inedible!"

The three of them shook their heads in disappointment.

"That's too bad. If only we had some apples to help ripen the banana," Wendy said sadly.

"We can also roast them," Nigel suggested.

"Good idea! Let's bake them tonight," Sally agreed.

"Sounds like a plan," Wendy nodded.
